FREE chapters from my two books
As you may know, I have written two books - Nose-Sucker Thingees, Weeds Whacking Back & Cats in the Bathtub: Does Life Get Any Better?, and Build Your Castles in the Air: Thoreau’s Inspiring Advice for Success in Business (and Life) in the 21st Century.
Lots of you already have these books (thank you!), so you may not be as interested in this - but if you don't have one or the other book, I thought I'd share some FREE chapters with you from both of them. There is no obligation to buy nuttin' - just click on the links in the boxes below and you'll be able to download and save PDF docs with free chapters from each of the books.
If you aren't familiar with them, Nose-Sucker Thingees, Weeds Whacking Back & Cats in the Bathtub: Does Life Get Any Better? is a collection of humor essays focused on family, life, and holding onto balance and perspective throughout life’s daily trials.
Meanwhile, Build Your Castles in the Air: Thoreau’s Inspiring Advice for Success in Business (and Life) in the 21st Century is comprised of selected quotes from Henry David Thoreau's Walden, organized by spheres of business life. The quotes are complemented by quotes from some of history’s greatest thinkers, as well as thoughtful, often humorous reflections from my various (and sometimes goofy) experiences in politics, business, and a nine-month journey through the Caribbean and across the North Atlantic on a sailboat. I'm especially proud to have had Nigel Morris, co-founder and former COO, write the foreword to this book, and to have a nice note about the book from Dr. Wayne Dyer and several other folks who I admire greatly.
- Nigel Morris: “Few other writers could have compiled this book. Chuck, like Thoreau, endeavors to live his life fully and on his own terms.”
- Dr. Wayne Dyer (New York Times #1 bestselling author and a self-development leader): ”I love Thoreau and I especially love this inspirational treatment of his work.”
I hope you will download the free chapters from each book and I hope you enjoy them.
I'd also love any feedback you have, either in the comment box below or directly via email to chuck@chuckhansen.com.
Thanks!
