Speedboats & Tankers

Share Life is full of hard truths that no amount of motivational rigamarole can change.

Whether we're talking metabolism or life choices, we start out as speedboats and end up as tankers, and as we grow older the wheel simply becomes less responsive.

But we don't know how long the journey will last, and we should remember Mark Twain's advice: “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

Changing course won't be as easy when you are older as it was when you were younger - don't believe anyone who tells you otherwise. But it is never too late to throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor, explore, dream and discover. And in 20 years you will wish you had.
