A riddle wrapped in a mystery presented on a help line

I couldn't access my email on Verizon, so I called the support line. They said they were going to send me an email with tips to help me get into my email. I swear.

To be fair, the very nice lady then remoted into my computer and fixed it pronto, so I didn't need to confront the logical illusion of the email fix... :-).
